Promoting equal access to education in Malawi through community empowerment using parent support group model.
COMMUNITY RADIO PROGRAMS
Deaf ACT project will also apart from using parent support group model, utilize the community radios in the catchment areas in terms of sensitization and awareness campaigns. Most of Community Radio Programs are aired in local language. We will link parent support group volunteers to be covered in the community radio programs so as to complement the household visitations. For example, a role model family with a child with hard of hearing can be brought in the studio with the volunteer to share their story to motive others in the community.
Hello Charles,
Thank you for the complement. It keeps us motivated and move forward to the dream where we see a people with disability given equal access like everyone else. Given opportunity, people with disabilities have proven to be exceptional in performing.
