Hello Anne,
Many thanks for your comment, and thanks for passing along the link to your submission. Your project looks interesting and similar to the kind of work we are doing in northern Uganda. We may certainly look at broadband internet as an option based on its sustainability, capacity of the local population to maintain it, and the cost. The result we would be looking for in this case is to provide connectivity in the most efficient, user-friendly manner that we can in order to contribute to entrepreneurship and job growth. As of now, we have also needed to focus on installing some level of computer infrastructure to support computer literacy while also offering access to the internet.

This is a fantastic model, drawing off the resources of many different religious communities when no one alone can afford to have a substantial presence in a country like South Sudan. These religious incur great risks to themselves but are doing life-altering work.

Thank you Eldy! Yes, we are hoping that the model we create is something that can be replicated to other contexts. If done correctly, with proper dialogue and participation of local beneficiary communities, there is a chance of scaling up the energy system, supporting entrepreneurship acticities, and helping communities strengthen their own credit histories to make resources available for continued investment in their own development as prioritized by them. All the inputs contribute to this larger ecosystem. Best, Tom
