A Daughter's story to find solution
Khuyen,
Her memory loss is very advanced now . However , in my past conversations with her , I have always sensed a sense of fear after a fall happened , even though she would not recall the incident exactly. She would hate anyone even touching her arms to assist in getting up from a chair or seat
Thank you for the shared links
Kate ,
Thank you for your feedback . Unfortunately , in my mother's hometown in kolkata there are very limited options of specialized trained caregivers . The agencies provide nurses and "ayahs" who are mostly trained to handle any sick patients in general , so when I would talk to agencies about my mother's need , they have no understanding of the condition or cannot provide such training to the caregivers.I had 2 caregivers who were informally trained by the local alzheimer daycare on how to handle her at home
I will try to find a recent picture of my mother to post
