Hi Shadrack, that's great! We'd love for you to take this up in Tanzania, feel free to drop me an email on firstname.lastname@example.org if you'd like to discuss further and to tell us a bit more about you.
Hi Issac, thanks for your comment and I'm glad you hear you like it! We have not yet had the first Nairobi Stew, but we have pitched the idea at a community event and it was very well received and many people offered to volunteer. We also changed the name from Soup to Stew, because people told us they get the feeling we will serve them bone broth in the heat!
You raise an excellent point - sharing ideas is a somewhat complicated concept in Nairobi. Idea sharing (and poaching) is something we would like to address in our community as Impact Hub Nairobi, and our community is interested in building a safe space where people can share their ideas and challenges freely, without fear of being judged and their ideas being poached. Hopefully the chance of winning a small grant can help overcome the idea of sharing, but if you have any ideas of how we can encourage people to share their ideas and make them feel comfortable, we would love to hear them.
