@Kate Rushton the primary feedback we have received from users that have tested this product included how lightweight it feels compared to the other hydration packs on the market - when you're working out, especially in those hour-long sessions, you really want to feel as light and as free as possible. A backpack, as we have been told, can feel bulky, heavy, and in some cases even uncomfortable.
They’ve also told us how surprisingly breathable the material of the sleeve felt, and how comfortable it was to wear. And the position of the sleeve on the forearm really gives you a most ergonomic fit that doesn't disrupt your natural athletic rhythm or offset your balance. Concerned about the amount of plastic and waste generated nowadays, the fact that it is refillable was an obvious yes for them, and they also liked the fact that you can add and easily refill with water or any sports drink.
As far as implementing at scale, in addition to the seamless and convenient access to hydration this product offers, plastic waste is a huge global problem. And as people become more educated about the effects of plastic and the waste it causes, even with 'proper disposal' they will hopefully look to viable alternatives and see Wetsleeve and it's refillable reservoir as a perfect replacement for plastic water bottles altogether.
We have already received a tremendous amount of pre-orders from like-minded environmental and health conscious individuals via our ongoing Kickstarter campaign and have similarly received a great amount of unsolicited press interest from several global publications with millions of followers/readers. We already have put the pieces in place to expand our operations to several other forms of e-commerce and retail distribution post Kickstarter; and we also already have all of our supply chain requirements lined up and can produce in mass scale with speed and efficiency anywhere in the world.
