Great Share Darren! This idea of of Love Letters reminded me of a TED talk I saw a while back. The Speaker Hannah Brencher speaks about how she started her initiative called 'More Love Letters' and how sending a simple love letter to strangers can empower and change lives. Positive emotions can serve as a strong catalyst for motivation. And I believe motivation is what leads us all as individuals to do more, learn more and teach more. Definitely check out the full talk if you haven't seen it yet! http://www.ted.com/talks/hannah_brencher_love_letters_to_strangers#t-189170
Thanks for sharing this Lauren! This is a fantastic example! I really like the idea of friendly competition and game play as a way to teach younger age groups to build good habits. I think leveraging social media to teach the student demographics is a very effective idea since I believe that secondary school and post secondary school students may be the demographics that use social media the most, especially in the types of social media used in the BinCam video you shared. Great inspiration! I wonder if this idea would be as effective for younger and older age groups, outside this scenario. Maybe the "if no, why not?" to this might provide some interesting inspiration to this challenge as well.
