I am a connector. I enjoy bringing people together to a shared space (either physical or virtual ) to express thoughts and ideas to test conventional frameworks of thinking in hopes to inspire creativity and proactivity. In my free time I like to read about cognitive science and philosophy.
Hossein, I am still modestly working on the concept of this solution and would love to share some refinements of my drawings this weekend. Shane, thanks for that video! The initial idea that popped into my head was along similar lines. Essentially, my idea is focused on creating a designated community space that provides a landmark and a physical space for people to gather based on functions that support human needs- benches for sitting, an overhang to provide shade from the sun, potentially even light for the evening and maybe even musical instruments. By creating a community space, an environment is created where people gather. The idea is that when you get people spending time together in a shared space, they begin to communicate, conversations start and eventually (hopefully) informal learning can take place. There of course needs to be activations and inspirations within that space to spark the informal learning process but I think it interesting to contemplate. I hope to have something more visual that expounds upon this by this weekend. Thanks for your nudges and feedback. You both are awesome :)
This is an awesome write up. One thing I really loved is the focus on the user journey and product iteration. Often times people go into a prototype attempting to create the end result that is 'perfectly functional' forgetting to do the math behind it. What a great reminder to create quick prototypes, refine the feedback loop to gain insight before making final iterations of any project or product.
