Encouraging recycling and changing consumer behavior are essential to promote the reduction of environmental and social impact in developing countries. Recycling is a very important part to review and solve the problems that consumption without any kind of education causes, and it is extremely important to be rethought. Here in the south of Brazil, more specifically in our city, Caxias do Sul, the collect system is very good and is one of the references in this question for the whole country. Unfortunately, the waste separation and recovery sector leaves much to be desired, which greatly increases the accumulation of waste in landfills and other parts of the city. The Voltei project is concerned with this aspect, foreseeing that its packagings are recycled in the best possible way, but focuses mainly on the change of consumption thinking. We believe that with the intensive use and the valorization of post-use, the need for recycling is reduced, as well as encouraging the reduction of mass production to give space to consumption of what is really necessary.
