This really brings up important ideas about inherent community support for mothers. If they feel respected, and like they, as mothers and as women, have infrastructure for them in the community, I feel like they are more likely to be involved and to be able to offer more of the community's offerings to their children.

I think another interesting question is how we encourage people to maintain their own networks once the community is established. How can we encourage people to support their support networks without outside input?

I think making sure that parents know how to communicate within their communities is so important. How will they access resources and form relationships with their community supporters if they can't all speak the same language.
