Thank you for the information and reference. If possible please do connect us with them via email. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. Collaboration and cross-learning is critical and we would benefit from their work.
Apologies for the delayed response (for some reason by response wasn't recorded). Thank you for your interest in the project. Gender discrimination is a very serious social issue in India(https://edition.cnn.com/2018/05/15/asia/gender-discrimination-india-deaths-intl/index.html?nav-edition=on) There is violence against women and discrimination in terms of pay and economic opportunity. The SEL curriculum will follow the CASELcompetencies https://casel.org/ and will be taught to both genders. Teaching skills such as social awareness, self-management, and relationship skills to thousands of children in India – male and female -- will begin to shift the prevailing culture that has led to discrimination and violence against women. We are planning to launch with grades K-8. The platform will include high quality digital content and interactive activities for students, lesson plans and other teaching aides for teachers. It will also will have resources and modules for parents so that they too can gain a better understanding of SEL skills. Within communities, we may also be able to organize events to highlight SEL to the broader community, and will encourage schools we work with to hold community service projects with their students to practice some of their new SEL skills.
We hope this answers your queries, if you do have any more questions please feel free to email us at email@example.com. Thanks and Regards, Sneha
