I like the idea of an information center as it helps to boost farmer activities by learning from what other's are doing. Given that in our region context people don't like to read, have you considered not only providing the information and a platform for discussion but also organising regular field trips? This help to actualise what we hear from others and we learn better if we combine most of our senses (eyes, ears, touch) in the learning process. I was also wondering if this center will also see how it may help the farmers to maybe test their soil and train or coach them in how they could look at what vegetable may work better in that area or a combination aiming at helping them to maximize productivity. The third part will be also to look on the possibility of facilitating their access to the market to reduce the loss of production. this maybe in linking them with existing market or helping them to access more market through the digital part that you're working on getting them to embrace. even though in our region we are not all digitalised, mobile phones has a more penetration in our community. you may think on how to use that to facilitate the process. will it be through bulk sms, a free line, or a mobile accessible platform? any way that is made easy for them to access will be much welcomed.
