We have just completed the first round of Status Interviews with each mother living in Catalyst House. We plan to do an open-ended interview like this every year, while using other formal and informal tools to document progress in the intervening months. The tools used will be individualized, but will include those listed above - Traumatic Events Screening Inventory (TESI) - Ages & Stages Questionnaire Developmental Screener - Elementary School Records: attendance, behavioral and academic data - Devereaux Early Childhood Assessment of emotional resilience - Schema Assessment of beliefs about oneself and the way the world works
and other evidence tools as indicated. Information from Meeting Summaries and conversations with school personnel, neighbors and any other key players will be included in reporting status and monitoring progress/needs.
The primary step to expanding our programming is having successful outcomes on our pilot. We need to - 1) Collect data on measurable outcomes articulated in our goals and mission 2) Share successes in a clear concise manner with high visibility in order to raise funds for sustainability and expansion 3) Continue to prioritize time and energy spent on family members living in Catalyst House
