Thanks Morgan, I love your additions to the idea (specially the app, and the quick massage in the room), this site is proof that great things can happen when minds work together for a noble purpose. You are right, families I did pre-bereavement counseling with, were often apprehensive to miss their loved one's last breath. On the other hand, I've also heard regret stories in therapy, specially from caregivers who were burned out on top of grieving, which of course affects both sides.
I belive it can, I had the priviledge to work at a beutiful Hospice house, specifically designed for that purpose. Patients and family members alike often mentioned the difference that this setting made (practically and emotionally) during their end of life experience. Cielo Jimenez, MFT intern.
