Diana Won...Thank you for your comment.  We have discovered much evidence as to why Korea has such food waste laws.  We are framing our current research around the reality of high population density and how it contributes to food waste in Seoul, Ulsan and Gwangju for now.  We have discovered that many of Korea's resource and social problems stem from the high population density.

We have discovered that Banchan culture has a variety of applications and behaviors in the home, restaurant, school, office and even on the hiking trail.
