Pretty cool! We're a team of five friends working towards keeping culture alive in the city. All five friends are involved with something artistic and above all storytelling. Storytelling is part of what we do with kids in OLO TATOLO. Interesting enough, on our previous OLO TATOLOs, one of our storytellers told a story that involved informing kids about polio and how to prevent polio! We have also done musical stories and our activity always has music and arts and craft sessions too. We can align some of the stories to your themes too! Or help with storyboarding?

Hi Shauna,
We hosted these workshops a month back. While our idea was solid and ready to execute, it was only stuck because of the finances that were involved with it. Due to which the outreach would have been different. OLOMOPOLO Media is an organization that is run by five friends and pure passion, and almost always empty bank accounts (because we pool in all that we earn throughout the month and put it into the organization :) ).

The only way these workshops were made possible was through a fund we received from a funding organization. These workshops worked with Visual Art, Music, Dance, Theatre and Poetry. What we want to do now is add more mediums, such as different genres of filmmaking (eg. Citizen Journalism), paper crafts, block printing, batik, guerrilla art, and reach out to more youths.

The workshops can be done without financial support, but that way it will not have the same level of outreach, and the material cost will deter the youths from joining these workshops. We as a principle provide all the materials that we can for workshops so that youths do not have to worry about it.

To continue these workshops we'd like Amply to support us whichever way possible.

I hope I have answered your queries, but do ask more if you want to.

Best regards,
Vicky Zhuang Yi-Yin
