"For the strength of a pack is the wolf & the strength of the wolf is the pack"
I was born and brought in Kenya. I now live in the Netherlands but I consider myself a global citizen. I am staff with LIGHT FOR THE WORLD Netherlands where I am responsible for developing new initiatives, link-up with interesting partners and explore boundaries within our reach.
Very good idea. I love it. I strongly think your solution could also apply in identifying those youth with disabilities who require basic and technical skills and link them up with skills training providers. LIGHT FOR THE WORLD would be happy to explore these linkages. I will put you in touch with our Kenyan colleagues.
Fantastic idea guys. I would be happy to link up and explore how to take the idea forward even if you do not make to the top five but I hope you will.
On the other note, from your description it not clear where the actual problem lies. Is it on the part of the youth that they lack employability skills or the employers who lack the know how of accessible and safe work places or there no structures to connect the the two parties. It would be great to think in depth where the problem is and reflect on how well your proposed intervention is tailored to fit the purpose.
Great idea Mathilde. It would be interesting to highlight how the project would link with other women organization in the area. You make the voice of your target group stronger if the project effectively link and mainstream their issues in the mainstream gender movement.
