I am a grad student and radio producer. I started teaching English because I wanted to share my language while I was learning Chinese. Ever since, language education has been about starting conversations through exchanges of language and ideas. I focus on anthropology of education because learning is always defined by what communities value. In another life I was also a counter-terrorism analyst. Though I moved on to "pro-humanism" education and social justice projects, my experience with the military taught me to persevere in getting resources to where they're needed most.
