Of course It can be used to connect moms with chronic diseases. I fact I identify as one of those moms and that was one of the thoughts behind it as those with a unique challenge have a unique journey that it is beneficial to share with others who fully understand .
at this point it is really easy to add new factors or variables to search and it could be anything including common languages, allergies, multiples and more.
The benefit to hospitals are the outcomes associated with peer support which already has been proven to improve perinatal outcomes for mothers and their children. It also doesn't need to be just mothers it could be opened up two parents in general as well as caregivers.
Other potential benefits to hospitals include less money spent on mental health treatment or any other treatment that would have been required but for the peer support offered through the platform. So it could actually save dollars in health care spending as well.
