I am passionate about:
Digital and Technical Innovation. Global Development -- Improving the conditions of others so that they may self actualize. Evolving the mechanisms which shape social values, in order to create long-term, systemic change.
A little known fact about me is:
I started a whistling a capella group in college with a few friends!
Show my name on the attendees list for events I am attending:
CS graduate from Northwestern with a focus on interfaces, human-centered design, and the potential for good design--particularly around sensible tech--to be a force multiplier for positive change. Excited for opportunities to learn more about the world and the people in it. Currently at Timshel, a social impact tech and strategy company, working to find opportunities to address shared technology challenges in the social sector.
Awesome idea! The offline component and liberal access to information seems like a tool of great potential.
Some questions: 1) You mention having launched the project in Haiti where it was considered a success. Have you guys had the opportunity to measure the impact of the work, either short-term or longitudinally? I'm very curious to understand the factors leading to that consideration and the measurable learning benefit. 2) How do you guys go about designing the curricula and content for each refugee setting? I have similar questions surrounding the interface design.
