Aneta Thank you for the kind words and also for the noble work you are doing to promote equality among children with and without extra needs. We are just beginning our journey and have a considerable amount to learn in the ECD space. My goal is to use my technical background to develop interactive toys and tools for children, probably make a few mistakes along the way and hopefully learn enough to make an impact.
Alex Tavares Thanks for reaching out. We are just beginning our journey into ECD. My background is engineering and Im using my skill set to design toys that promote inclusion and equality among kids with and without extra needs. Thanks for your offer to help as we have a lot to learn in this area and will need to start making connection in the ECD space.
Peggy Sissel, Ed.D. Thank you and yes your feedback was very helpful! We are currently working with a couple of schools for the blind in the MA area who specialize in teaching blind children. We are very fortunate to be close to a wonderful resource pool and plan to tap into it to help guide us along the way. because she is also deaf making the connection that the dots represent a word and ultimately a sound is very challenging, she does have cochlear implants but they are limited in range. I plan to learn more about object association as we move this project forward and I know there are some experts who specialize in this practice Ill be trying to tap into those resources for sure.
