This is a good business model that marries philanthropic capital to offset capital costs with a market-driven solution to offset operating costs. I was however wondering what the recovery rate was of the Reverse Osmosis system? This could be an important consideration especially as this scales in drought prone areas with depleting aquifers.  At Drinkwell we offer solutions that has improved RO recovery up to 90%+ in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Would love to explore potential areas of collaboration, feel free to email me at

Minhaj commented on Water Rituals

Hi Lipika,

Water Rituals is a promising new initiative as it empowers women to spread their know how and learnings around adapting to the water crisis via mobile connectivity. I along with @Anoop Jain and @Joan DeGennaro at @Sanitation and Health Rights in India (SHRI) work in rural Bihar to provide both safe drinking water and sanitation, and would love to explore opportunities to collaborate around making a video emphasizing the importance of handwashing around certain activities (e.g., after using the toilet, before/after eating) set in the context of rural households. We believe the water and sanitation crisis needs a holistic solution, and the Water Rituals app can go a long way in communicating the holistic solution needed through interactive storytelling.  Our emails are:,, and Thanks, and look forward to hopefully hearing from you soon!
