I have a background in architecture and design, and love it! I'm 110% committed to this field, however have an interest in communication and rhetoric. I've always been most excited about the shift in perspective and "healing" that can take place surrounding a good design idea. Yet, designers aren't always easily able to directly leverage the myriad of amazing ideas within communities. I went on to study rhetoric because I believe that design, with an awareness of how to artfully make things matter to others will change this!
Lydia, I appreciate the bridge in your idea between physical and virtual. The aesthetic sensibility of the physical objects feel just right in contrast to the sketches of the digital interface. I think the difference and dialogue between these two is powerful in the execution of the idea. I'd love to understand the interface a little better. I'm touched! Good work.
