Hello Ashley, thank you very much for asking me this important question: We will design the project for 100 persons with disabilities in equality of women/girls living with disabilities and immediate family members of the persons with disabilities and recent War Victims families including Orphans boys and girls. The program will be design according to the demand of the labor markets for long term sustainability for self/help employment for the beneficiaries in this project. AOAD learned from the past best practice according to lesson learned from the 60 projects implemented by AOAD so far from 2007. AOAD's approach is peer support manner with acting as agent of change in the society and community will be working closely with community participation according to the cultures respect.
AOAD‘s strategy is to hire 80% living with some sorts of disabilities and immediate family members of the persons with disabilities working since 2007. According to the Afghan culture, women participation as decision makers will be the integral part during the project design and implementation process of the project. Monitoring evaluation will be the best practice with time to time report to the donor agency as progress with sharing pictures, successful stories and case studies. Most of the staffs will be persons with disabilities will be stakeholders in the project implementation process to show the society that persons with disabilities has knowledge experience and need equal participation as equal citizens. The staffs of the project will have disability development experiences and leadership quality according to their owns voices and independent movement. AOAD's contribution will be in this project some office furniture’s resources, volunteer staffs and cost share of salaries in the %. AOAD management team has greater experience in program design, financial management. AOAD is a tax pair organization having excellent record with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan and Ministry of Finance due to good record of the timely tax payment and quarter report of the activities to the Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled. AOAD is an active member of ACBAR, Humanitarian Country Team (HCT) and proactive member of the UNCHR Afghanistan protection cluster. The Director of the AOAD is him a person with disability has rich and long experience in disability advocacy and development process since 1993. The director of AOAD is Country Representative of the Global Alliance of Accessible Environment & Technologies (GAATES) Canada since 2012 for Afghanistan. AOAD is a leading organization working as nationwide in Afghanistan have no cultures or language barrier making local human resources for being tomorrow leaders.
