The general inspiration I took from your project was the importance of training AD patients to speak up for themselves. I feel that also involves being able to explain the disease (and especially that it is not a contagious disease) to other people, and being able to tune the explanation to the age/maturity level of the listener. My idea is under development, but will make patients and non-patients comfortable with discussing AD in the course of a card game. A game that can be played just as a game, or as a game with AD discussions baked in. Using AD-relevant cards allows for pauses for discussion during the course of the game.

Thanks, Ryan. Nothing gets ahead without funding. This OpenIDEO challenge includes a mandatory requirement to find a non-profit partner to qualify for funding. Creating a "chicken or egg - what comes first" situation, IMHO.
