I have been involved with pre- and perinatal health for over 25 years, starting with maternal and child health, family planning, and health education as an international professional, to a practitioner of the healing arts as a bodyworker working with pregnant mothers, families and babies. In 1995, I was certified to massage pregnant mothers and instruct parents in infant massage. Since then, I have taken thousands of hours in advanced education to support the childbearing year. You see a complete list of my experience at belvederearts.com.
We are creating our course in Camtasia and it will be a mix of powerpoints, recordings of live classes, transcripts and live facilitated circles. Our activities include all kinds of self reflection tools. I like the idea of podcasts and a community of parents but we aren't there yet. I like the map idea and will try it.
Our first version was 4 times the size. Our parents told us it was too much. They advised reduce the information, make it more concise. We have two audiences: Parents who want to conceive or who are pregnant, and educators who support them. One thing we discovered is that parents want company with each other, and with educators who can translate information for their specific situation.
Hello Denny This is not an APP, this is an online program. We are building a community of mutual support. Our approach includes the prenate. So far, prenatal programs just focus on the mother and the partner. Our content is fed by over 30 years of peer review information and research. See birthpsychology.com
