Also having the government on board offers an opportunity to table dialogues and provide demonstration of how in other countries this has work to the advantage on both reducing unemployment and the government being able to receive revenue and add the national income. I believe continuing discussions on the same will get a good buy in from the policy makers.
Tony you can also note that some of the agenda for discussion are the access to the youth development fund, unemployment and policies that affects the interests of the youth. The youth will have the opportunity to interact with the government representatives, asking questions and get answers and have the opportunity to give recommendations and suggestions on the areas that they believe they need improvement such as on the procedures and criteria to access the YDF.
It is also worth to share that the level of cooperation we have received from the youth development officers from the government has really been encouraging. They shared invaluable information such as the number of youth who have so far benefited from the YDF and what has been the challenge for many youth to access, and how partnership in capacity building and facilitating the access can help to fill the gap.
