Hi Ying, I think relaxing by travelling after a stressful semester is a brilliant idea. It gives you back the sense of calm after what most students would term as "storm." I think travelling with a purpose also helps. For example, instead of shopping when we arrive, we also take the time to mingle with the locals, taste their food, learn a bit of their language and customs. This will help us gain new perspectives in life and broaden our understanding of people and places. We will realise that people are unique and that we may stumble upon customs that would raise diversity awareness. For example, a custom we view to be normal back home may not be normal in other places.
I honestly believe that travelling is good for the soul. It is another form of education. :)
