Thank you for your kind words and commenting on my post. Currently I work with both Trello and Asana to organize the course load that I am responsible for and really find them useful from a productivity standpoint. However, I have not thought about using those tools as Project Management within groups and I love the idea! That serves a double purpose of exposing them to project management tools, all the while the group/instructor have a tool that allows them to monitor the progress of all the group members. I think we are on to something :)
I believe that your opening statistic about Mobile device usage is the most telling when it comes to micro-learning. Personally I used Duolingo religiously before taking a trip to Paris this past spring and it was immensely valuable. There is plenty of work to do in promoting micro-learning for higher education and I look forward to a day where online classes can be taken on a smart phone just as easily as on a computer. It really is a matter of time before this catches on and I am glad that our neighbors across the pond are doing their part to promote easier access to education. Thank you for contributing your piece!
