I'm still thinking about your model. It's got so much to it AND it's visually elegant. I am working on a visual visioning process (early stage/awkward name) using drawing prompts. (I believe that drawing is incredibly powerful). One of the visual visioning applications is for discovering personal vision. Another is around corporate strategic visioning and engaging everyone on the same path. Your Ikigai model is thoughtfully complex, bringing up all sorts of inspiration around this other idea I'm working. Still thinking about how pictures might work inside of something similar. Love that this emerged!!!!
It seems like you might be adding to your model beyond words. Tell me about the color blocks?
This is a BRILLIANT model. Thank you so much for sharing this!!!!! I'd love to see how it can be extended beyond college bound. It seems important to think about education as a quality of life issue and often taking the entire chunk of time to "get educated" isn't possible because of other life requirements.
Great question, Terry. Yes, I see this as learner led exploration across all sorts of learning opportunities, including potential deep dives into local opportunities, like Startup Weekends, business open houses, etc. Mostly, the coaches will help the learner explore and develop learning goals as well as learn how to perform their own research into learning opportunities. The coaches goal will be to help the learner develop their own self-directed learning techniques.
