What I like about this idea is that the proposal addresses the problem at its basis: "Peace has been greatly influenced by economic duress." The "Salinas Valley" scope of it makes it realistic and likely to have a long-term impact. You present a "tremendous outpouring of support" and seeing so many local organizations who believe in your effort makes me think it may actually work. Aside from tapping into local resources well, your bringing people together shows leadership and potential for the sustainability or your project. The fact that you have already piloted this makes it more likely to succeed and be sustained. The only question I have is that California is known for having tons more resources than many other countries in the world. In reading your proposal, I am not sure what is causing the problem. Is the population served by this proposal not American? Is this related to the disturbing discourses we hear about immigrants in the US? If this is the case, then I can see the urgency driving you to action because otherwise, economic disparity and violence will explode in growth.
