Ahmed thanks for your comment! organic waste isn't a widely used category, most municipalities offer recycling, garbage and yard waste, which doesn't allow for food scraps.
Devon Faller great info! I agree that there are definitely some issues to work out in terms of cost and collection. As you mentioned though, I believe this system has the potential to have a huge impact because it doesn't require huge changes in user behavior, but instead builds on the existing notion of what can be recycled.
I love this idea! I was thinking about how for myself one of the main issues is I don't even remember what's in the fridge/cupboard. I was wondering if you could expand on, "Eliminate incentives to get the products into private households in the first place." It seems like eating out/take out creates a number of issues of their own, including takeout waste containers.
