I am passionate about:
making water filters that work for people, rather than making them work for their water.
A little known fact about me is:
I collect photos of myself doing handstands around the world.
Show my name on the attendees list for events I am attending:
"When in doubt, tell the truth."
I'm an extroverted engineer turned entrepreneur. I'm the CEO and co-founder of Rorus Inc., a Pittsburgh-based startup using portable nanotechnology to make safe drinking water in low-infrastructure settings. I earned my master's degree in biomedical engineering from Carnegie Mellon. I lead Rorus based on my water purification experience in Ghana, South Africa, Haiti, and India. I tend to rant emphatically about how technology is useless without good human-centered design.
