A monthly get-together to celebrate gratitude and check in on everyone's experiences with the app could build a ritual around gratitude. Everyone could take a moment and reflect on instances they were grateful for that month, "shout-out" someone on the "giggleboard" and/or check if their colleague has any "giggles" they'd like to show their gratitude with. They would simultaneously be asked to consider what they themselves need some support with to make them feel appreciated, and post that as a "giggle" on their profile. Ritualizing this celebration and check-in could inspire tribe behavior and imbue the practice of gratitude with a sense of fun and joy.
As a supplement, a small monthly budget for "giggles" and/or partnerships with neighboring businesses could also incentivize people– grabbing someone a coffee, for example, is an approachable, quick entry point to expressing gratitude regularly.
We also think it would be useful to have the app integrated into other social media platforms, so if someone is already using Instagram to post something related, they can cross post it to the "giggleboard." Seeing the app's icon on more routinely used platforms could also help keep it present in their minds.
