Hey Brian Blankinship . Yes those films are ubiquitous. Fruit blends and bubble teas. We couldn't get too close to the actual trash..nor take photos! But I bet there were. Separation of trash is still very low on people's priorities here.. :(

Hi Teo John . It's true. Most people are too busy in their days and devices to think ahead. I recently bought a stainless steel straw and that has helped but I do have to make sure that I have somewhere to rinse it..or a container to put it in. I also have to make sure that the vendors don't automatically assume I want one and pop the straw in too quickly! There are sinks all over the centres here too. Mostly for hand washing though.
