Hi Bertha Jimenez
Thank you for the comment.
Jon is our friend, and we are working along with http://sharemeals.org from almost the time that Project Avocado was conceited. We had realized that both ShareMeals and Project Avocado have similar goals.
We have received a lot of insights from their work, and we will continue working together.

Hello Bettina Fliegel
Thank you for your comment.
That is true that food insecurity is a very big issue with students. We at DFA NYU have been working along with http://sharemeals.org to help students deal with it.
I like the idea of food being present around the study groups. In fact, we are trying to come up with solutions for this by working on a prototype in a student lounge where students actually go to study. Here we have received to have food.
From our previous prototype (the one entioned in this post), we have learnt that students want to show their appreciation. So we are coming up with a way to do that through sending emails.
I also like the ideas involving recipes, but there is a good chance that it might not work, because many students do not cook. But nevertheless, we can try to implement it because there is a good number of students who like to cook or prefer having home-cooked meals.

We will be trying our best to make sure that this prototype works, and hopefully, we might be able to implement it across the university (and other places, in the near future)
