Hi Isaac - many thanks for your comment and my apologies for the delay in response. The team involved is my team of 4 working with a community team in each site. In terms of impact monitoring, an integral part will be community determining the measures of success, coming out of the work they do on self-assessment of their own context that they wish to change / create. As mentioned in the idea, we are looking at using Outcome Mapping as a participatory M&E framework. Please feel free to keep in touch! Richard.
Hi Jen - just to circle back to my reply that I could share tools.. we found the 4-book series 'Training for Transformation' particularly useful (I forget the 2 authors' names). We have also concentrated alot on visioning processes, especially unpacking the past, leading up to the present in order for communities to identify conditions and drivers, and which drivers they can control and which they cannot; before moving on imagining the future they want. To make it easier and actionable, we divide the future vision into 3 parts - BE (the life we want), HAVE (what we need to have that life) and DO (what we need to do to make these happen). 'Do' is focused on broad 'action areas' and these are the needed drivers EG 'balancing traditional and modern values & life'; 'regenerating our soils and waters' etc. These then lend themselves nicely to action planning eg 1-year or 5-year plans etc.
Luz - I forgot to comment on the relationship of documents. I removed one which I thought was distracting. Mostly the documents are giving examples of past experiences with communities to illustrate tools and approaches etc, which we are trying to 'pull together' under this contribution.
