I am passionate about:
social justice, gender equality, empowering adolescent girls via well researched and human-centered design innovations that help them help themselves improve their lives, health, and likelihood to reach their fullest potential.
A little known fact about me is:
The socioeconomic challenges of my childhood influenced my empathic sensitivity to the unmet health needs of adolescent girls globally. As a teen, I committed to taking action for positive impact and the realization of global gender equality.
Show my name on the attendees list for events I am attending:
"Everyone, no matter where they are born, has the right to live with dignity."
I have worked for over 30 collective years in clinical healthcare delivery, research, product design, development and program implementation. In 2013, I founded Women’s Global Health Innovations (WGHI) to realize my mission to be a dedicated social impact entrepreneur and passionate innovator in the development of adolescent girls’ and young women’s menstrual, sexual and reproductive health products and support services.
Personally, I'm an avid reader, traveler, skier, scuba diver, snorkeler, visual artist and jewelry maker and the proud mother of my wonderful 23-year-old daughter.
Hi Festus, Thank you for your response. This is off topic, but have you heard of SafeBoda in Uganda. It would be great to see the same service with safety training as well in Kenya. Maybe you could consult with them and perhaps partner some on the safety equipment initiative.
