The USAID Grand Challenge is a great opportunity for us to join together also offline to organize and share solutions and expertise for combating Zika and future health security threats.
We invite you to organize your own event or attend before the end of the Grand Challenge on June 17! Here's how:
FINDing an event
- Social Media: Start by following thought leaders and organizations that are at the forefront of this challenge such as the USAID or the CDC on platforms like Twitter and Facebook. You can also search on these platforms using hashtags like #zika and stay in the loop for upcoming events and news.
- Events Platforms: Search using keywords like 'zika' or 'zika virus' or health security on platforms like Eventbrite, Meetup, and Facebook. These platforms are also great channels to promote your own event!
- Local University: Find out at your local universities are doing in global health, public health and medicine. They usually have Events pages that you can visit and professors that may already be connected.
- Search: These events are constantly happening and can also be found with keywords on search engines like Google. You can also look below for eventscreated by the OpenIDEO community!
Here is where we will host the events that you create!
