As young children, we’re all creative. We draw, sing, build, and dream. Yet somewhere along the way, many of us put down these creative instincts. In this challenge, we’re asking the OpenIDEO community to design fun, inspiring and new ways to help teens and young adults preserve and nurture their own creative confidence. At a time when our world faces unprecedented challenges, how might we ensure that young people practice their creative confidence today so that they have a shot at becoming successful leaders tomorrow?
What We’ve Learned So FarThe first phase of our design process is Inspiration. Rather than rely on what we think we know about the challenge topic, we get out there, ask questions, and seek inspiration from every possible avenue. This phase concluded October 23. How Can You Contribute?
Now, it’s time to take what we learned and brainstorm Ideas, or possible solutions. That’s where you come in. As you get ready to contribute to the Ideas phase, keep in mind that adding your own ideas and collaborating with others on their ideas is equally important – and fun. In general we’re looking for fresh ideas that address the challenge question. These could be big ideas, little ideas, wild ideas, even ideas that are already underway and could use some fresh perspective... all are welcome.
Alright, let’s go! Add your projects, perspectives and opinions to help young people nurture and hone their creative skills today, tomorrow and beyond.
