Meeting the health information needs of children and parents
Children and parents in LMICs lack access to reliable healthcare nformation in a format they can readily understand, to protect child health. This includes basic information on nutrition and early child development, as well as information on what to do when a child is sick.
HIFA (general health) and CHIFA (child health) bring together more than 10,000 health professionals, researchers, publishers, librarians, policymakers and citizen representatives in 170 countries on a global forum using the Dgroups discussion platform (www.dgroups.info). There is also a Portuguiese and French version, in collaboration with World Health Organization. We are a 24/7 online conference exploring how to improve the availability and use of healthcare information in LMICs. Further info:
