Feeding the Children

If children do not receive the necessary proteins and vitamins in the first 1000 days of life their brains and immune systems will NEVER fully develop and they will most likely die. Luckily, there are a few companies out there providing the RUTF (ready-to-use therapeutic food) to malnourished children worldwide. Mana Nutrition - a Non-Profit company provides this food to malnourished children and saves lives all over the world. Good Spread - is a new startup Peanut Butter company that partners with Mana and sends packets of RUTF for every jar of PB sold. By eating delicious Peanut Butter and supporting/creating more business models centered around doing GOOD things WE can save starving children and help GOOD SPREAD! :)

What I particularly like about MANA and Good Spread's partnership with them is that MANA Nutrition is a Non-Profit

On the other end is Plumpy'Nut, which produces a similar RUTF paste but is For-Profit business, holding the patent on RUTF pastes, and charging royalties on production from other companies. Thus, Plumpy'Nut makes a direct profit from feeding dying children by securing grants that could have potentially gone to other NGO's and saved more lives.'nut
