Although the economic conditions in low-income communities cannot compare with the developed countries, parents still can make some efforts by themselves to create a successful future for thier childs.

Who will benefit from this idea and where are they located?

Childrean live in low-income communities will benefit from this idea.

How could you test this idea in a quick and low-cost way right now?

This idea is easy and quick to implement, because it is not involved in the economic situations that parents are facing.

Is this an idea that you or your organization would like to take forward?

  • This idea is meant to inspire. I hope someone else takes it on!

Hi cathy!

This idea is so interesting, it is nice and sweet. When parents touch their babies, I think there is a invisible line between parents and babies which connects them closer and closer. Also, some approaches need to be considered to spread and share these knowledge to the parents, such as, the communities can provide some workshops for parents, together with their babies, teaching them how to bond with their babies.

Interesting, Cathy. Do you have thoughts on how this message may be spread effectively and engagingly with parents in low-income communities in the developing world in mind? (considering aspects like potential limited literacy, lack of access to internet, cultural differences, etc)? We look forward to hearing your thoughts on how this message might be spread effectively.

And you and your fellow students might want to check out our Anatomy of an Amplify Idea visualisation: http://ideo.pn/amplify-anatomy Hope that helps in fine-tuning your ideas!
