School-in-a-box: Improve Health Literacy with mHealth in Mozambique
School-in-a-box is a media platform, which delivers educational content to the community, educating them about what they can do to ensure their health and their family health. The program would leverage gathering places where there is a captive audience, such as the waiting room at the health facility, to use video and interactive surveys to engage and teach the community about maternal and child health. There is already a lot of videos and content available which could be used.
The school-in-a-box would be a media platform which would provide training and information in the form of videos and interactive surveys to healthcare workers and the community. The program would use existing content which focuses on improving the health and outcomes for mothers and children. The program would leverage gathering places or waiting places to deliver the content to captive audiences.
Leverage existing content and work with existing content providers to create Mozambique-relevant content. The videos will be used for training health workers as well as members of the community. Learning will be reenforced with interactive surveys, demonstrations, or discussion.
