What specific problem(s) are you trying to address? (300 character limit)

The platform is designed to address women who wish to know more about the sexual component of their bodies. The intro series will cover common questions women have about their bodies changes and desires around puberty onward, and the discussion will cover questions not covered there.

What are some of your unanswered questions about the problem(s) you are working to address? (500 character limit)

Who would build the platform (ideally an adult film firm - short list includes Pornhub but ideally with a smaller, less erotically focused and Xhamster, who has expressed interested in moving beyond adult film production)? Would women feel comfortable with asking questions over an open forum? Would women feel more compelled to ask more relevant questions if given the choice to maintain anonymity? Demographically, what age group would this option appeal to the most?

Who are your end users? (1000 character limit)

The end user would be the technologically adept curious female. Girls with questions about their bodies but without an accurate personal resource to refer to. Girls who want to know more about their own anatomy. Girls who believe they have been misinformed about their desires/urges. These girls will benefit by having an object introductory lesson plan to follow and learn about - what to expect, why to expect it, how to deal with it, etc. It will be created by those who are willing to contribute to the platform, ideally those who would do the in person-feed and Q&A. The end users would be between 11-18, older if they are from more conservative areas. In terms of people reached, I am unsure.

Explain your idea. (500 character limit)

The idea has 2 parts. Part A is the series of videos by a variety of adult women who will speak to different aspects of the female body and its changes. Adult film stars will discuss sex as a regular component of life and relationships (+ protection). Pediatricians who would speak about the expected changes in the female body,. Psychologists who would discuss the taboos of sex. Part B is a weekly live virtual Q&A with different women in different fields w/ each wk having a new topic (pic)

What is your value proposition? (500 character limit)

The platform will create value for girls by creating a trove of knowledge to refer to about reproductive health, and it will offer a weekly platform to ask questions the platform fails to cover. FAQ's will be better scripted into the trove of stock videos, prompting more developed questions over time. For shareholders, the sites traffic will generate opportunities for ad placement/sponsorship. The sponsors should be female-related, IE female hygiene ad placement or contraceptive ad placement.

What's different about your idea compared to current solutions? (500 character limit)

This will combine various elements. I can learn about the female anatomy from site a, sex from site b, sexual protection from site c, but what if I (a learning girl) have questions? I think that in addition to the convenience of having all of this information in 1 place, having a weekly open virtual q&a will develop the trove of videos to be better over time whereas current sites provide information and that is it.

What are the key reasons why end users would turn to your organization over another?

  • Convenience / Accessibility: Making products accessible

What would success look like for your end users? (500 character limit)

Girls knowing more about their bodies, asking better or more specific questions, and hopefully making sex and reproductive health less of a taboo in civil society today.

How would you measure the impact your idea has on your end user(s) ? How will you measure the success of your program? (500 character limit)

For each area (sex, protection, puberty changes, etc) have a survey at the beginning and end asking the user to state their confidence and understanding concerning that topic. Over time, the improvement should grow e.g. the first month improves, on average, a 20% understanding of pubic changes in the female body whereas in month three users see, on average, a 30% improvement in their understanding of pubic changes in the female body as a result of the core videos.

What strategies will/are you testing to acquire end users? (300 character limit)

Liberal school districts who are interested in teaching such topics, using their studentbase to create a list of requirements in terms of platform wants and needs, as well as a list of topics they would like to cover and move to more remote locations that require even more explanation.

Key partnerships - Who will you partner with to make your idea work? (500 character limit)

Female hygiene brands, adult film companies, companies with streaming resources (twitch has a good platform for streaming and live discussion feed), and health organizations focused on improving health and reproductive information dissemination.

What is your organization’s name? (150 character limit)

Potential names: Gendr Jendr GirlCurl GirlCroosh (TV reference) GirlTalk HerSpeak SheSpeak

Tell us more about you: (750 character limit)

I am a senior at UT Austin. I am a business major (Management of Information Systems) and I am a part of a course that has us pick an openIDEO challenge that we care about. I have a sister who knows that if we had significantly more conservative parents or were from a different town, she could have a significantly worse understanding of her body. If I had access to the resources, I would develop this platform. At the moment however, I am seeking employment to better build my professional career before venturing on my own: I figure I will work making someone else rich a little before making myself rich a lot more.

Hi Amir, this is an interesting innovation. Any thoughts on a business model?

Hi Esther Ndagire . My idea would be a sponsor program in which firms with products relevant to the platform (e.g. OTC contraceptives, condoms, female hygiene products, etc) would pay to have their name and brand advertised to viewers. Said funds would go to the cost of hosting and maintaining the site. Costs would scale with the size and features of the site.
