Learn a language by having fun! Dutch Bingo with elderly people.

Koentact is a language academy in Amsterdam. They have a special method of teaching: they integrate their students into dutch local events. Koentact students learning Dutch during Bingo event with Dutch elderly people in Amsterdam city center. The students had to use their acquired (theoretical) knowledge of Dutch (numbers) into practice, while playing Bingo, meeting Dutch elderly people and having a blast! Isn’t it great to see all those happy people! Koentact, connecting through learning language and culture!

At this point I´m exploring already existing programms around me. I´m a spanish expat living in the Netherlands and I think this Dutch school has a great method to encourage people to learn the language.

- At this Dutch school they focus on interaction, they respect each other’s background and dive into each other’s cultures.
- Both parties have fun! The exchange should be funny for everybody.
- Both parties get something on exchange. Students learn Dutch and old people have new experiences and funny moments.
