Beekeeping has already become a prominent form of business in countries like Tanzania, Nigeria, and South Africa. Honey is the most popular natural sweetener in the world its diverse use makes it a highly desired product around the globe. Unlike other agricultural practices, beekeeping requires much fewer resources (such as land and water) and can be run on a small piece of land (even perhaps in the backyard of your home). By creating a co-op, where beekeepers will aggregate their product to distribute and sell, it adds a community aspect and also allows entrepreneurs to work together in order to work with a larger variety of distributors and retailers.
