Capitalize on Market Opportunities

How might vocational training experiences prepare young people to enter and remain in the workforce?

Vocational training helps young people gain the practical skills they need for the workforce. It may serve as a bridge between the worlds of the formal education system and work, or it may be a standalone option for those who have not had access to school.

To set young people up for success, training programs need to provide them with skills that they can readily employ and the support to they need to secure and maintain employment over time. A key component of this is matching skills training to market opportunities, as are resources that help young people make effective transitions into the world of work.
