College students are uniquely qualified to provide the necessary information and motivation about the college selection and application process that many low-income students face.

Over the past several years, Strive for College has been recruiting and training college students to provide this mentorship. While the results have been astounding helping low-income students gain admission to their best fit colleges and universities across the country, the benefits for the college students has been equally impressive. Strive mentors have built student organizations from the ground up, creating lasting partnerships with local high school, fund raising from alumni and local companies, and have recruited dozens of other students to join in their cause. Former mentors and leaders of Chapters have secured impressive internships during and job after graduation.

By empowering their near-peers to be successful through the college application process, they unknowingly empower themselves to be successful in school and beyond.
