Hear, hear, Matthew! When I was teaching design I liked to emphasise the soft skill of engagement. (I guess this would come under Personality here though I often framed it as part of presentation skills) I've seen many great designers do badly in not being able to communicate & engage clients over their amazing idea – and many mediocre designers do well through being convincing. So I was always keen to encourage students to hone their skills around engaging others in their designs.
