The best bootcam...I mean internship ever!
One thing that I have definitely known, but have been reminded through this program, is that nothing is given to you. Often we make claims of where we want to be whether it be rich, famous, etc., but seldom do we work for it. This program helped open my eyes even further that if you want something you have to go out and get it!
The Marcus Graham Project is a bootcamp/internship experience that immerses minorities in the advertising industry. Rather than simply staffing participants at an agency and working with clients, it is up to us to form our own pop-up agency.
Hours upon hours contributed to our official DAY ONE presentation. In this episode, the team discusses all the components that contributed to blowing a few minds; not only the industry leaders in the room--but our own.

While minority youth over-index in our consumption of media, we have little influence within the jobs that are behind-the-scenes. These career opportunities are responsible for some of the campaigns from brands that we enjoy each and every day.
The Marcus Graham Project has given people like myself the opportunity to learn about agencies and clients from the ground up. The experience is real. The clients we work with are real. The relationships and opportunites are real. Take Mad Men and infuse it with The Real World. What you get is a truly unforgettable experience that I am honored to be a part of. As the program grows I am excited to see where it goes in the future and will do everything in my power to spread my story and what/whom got me to where I am today - and where I will end up!
